Percussion has always been my life. There’s been nothing else since the age of 12. Unfortunately, the way I was raised didn’t allow for much personal interpretation of what rhythm and percussion can be and do. So, when I moved out, I decided to explore in the musical surroundings of my area. Embracing this colorful world of Latin styles of music, led me to one of the most influential drums of my life, the conga drum. This drum has taught me how to feel the rhythm, a to feel the beat, how to develop a deeper relationship with the music and those musicians who I play with.
