I think that the idea of starting your own band out of your garage is a pretty cool thing.  Although the success rate for the average garage band is probably pretty low, you have to believe that today’s most successful artists started by playing out of their garage or somewhere similar.  It is funny to think of bands like Radiohead or Coldplay strumming guitar chords out in their parent’s garage, but that may have been the case.  I guess the whole process of beginning a band is pretty expensive, so it is probably a good idea to find a really cheap place to play!
