Smart cars are making people take notice, but are they a smart investment? Only time will tell.  The major issue that many people have with the smart car is the fact that they are so tiny.  While they get really great gas mileage, there are some concerns.  For example, if you are planning on taking a trip out of state, would you really want to take a tiny smart car, or would you rather drive in a regular sized sedanz? Sure, you can get up to 90mph in a smart car, but would you really feel safe on an interstate where most people are doing 90 mph despite what the speed limit says?  Additionally, there is the concern about safety.  Safety is the major concern, again, because the car is so small.  For instance, if you were to get into an accident with a lot of other types of vehicles, you would still stand a chance at only suffering minor injuries- but what about the smart car?
