My last real estate purchase was extremely simple. I was buying a home for my grandson from a couple who were not using a real estate agent. They owned a home in Spring Ranch Colorado. This made things much simpler as any negotiations were done directly with the decision-makers. I was also in the fortunate position of being able to pay cash for the property. Thus, there was no hunt for a lender that would give me a suitable loan. In fact, other than signing a contract with the sellers, the only other paperwork was the transfer of title information completed at the company handling the title insurance. The house was located, purchased and in our possession in one week’s time.
