In the tough job market around my city I have found it almost impossible to walk into any business off the street and to get into a job quickly. Most good jobs are no longer hiring like the old school ways of doing things. They are hiring temp employment agencies to screen you, assess your skills and to basically take the work out of figuring out if you would be a good candidate for their company. This for them saves time and they don’t have to interview people for a position. They leave that part of the job to the agency they pay when they hire someone temporarily.
