The concept of work teams on the production floor is not a new one.  However the concept of using work teams for injection molding training is new.  The idea is to put employees who are at the same knowledge and skill level through a training program at the same time.  This combines the benefits of classroom type training with the benefits of stand-alone computer-based training into one.  The reason that the training effectiveness is increased its because employees have more of a feeling that they need to come through for their team members when it comes to understand the material that they are supposed to learn.  Instituting some sort of friendly competition between learning teams have shown to increase the retension level and effectiveness of the overall training program.
