I have always been interested in different languages. When I was in high school, I studied Spanish because I thought that it would be a useful language to know. I have been practicing it and have kept pretty fluent. Now, I would like to learn to speak french. I love the way that it sounds when spoken. I figure that since I can speak one romance language, learning another one should not be too hard. Perhaps, after I learn french, I will look into what other languages are out there that I can quickly learn on the Internet and just keep going.

We took Rufey camping with us this week and boy can that pooch get into trouble. First of all, he can’t seem to stay away from the skunks. If there’s a polecat in the county, he seems to be able to find it. Didn’t get sprayed this time, but had a couple close calls. He also likes to roll around in the dead fish that wash up on the shoreline, and that’s almost as bad as the skunks, so we really have to watch him on that.

He also got into some barbed wire alongside the trail once and got some pretty bad scrapes and scratches from that. We’d gotten a pet first aid kid with the Pet Meds coupons after the last trip, so we had salve with us this time.

I think being out in the woods just brings out the puppy in him. Know how he feels!
