Be warned about Skil 18v batteries SB18A

July 27th, 2009 by admin

I own a Skil 18v cordless power tool kit that comes with SB18A batteries. I’m want to warn everyone about these tools so they don’t waste their money like I did. The Skil 18v Nicad batteries that come with the kit are total trash. After only a few charges, I can already notice that they are loosing their power. I know that there are very strict guidelines that need to be followed with NiCads, but it is virtually impossible to follow them in the real world. I estimate that every year I will need to buy two new Skil 18v batteries, which horrifyingly will cost around 100 dollars. Therefore, I’m throwing them out and saving up for a Skil 18v lithium ion power tool kit.
