Bonsai Trees – Ground Cover: Ceramic Figuires

January 24th, 2008 by admin

Ground cover and their accoutrements are an integral part of many bonsai tree designs and artistry. In addition to peat moss or other ground cover, you can place additional aesthetic touches like deadwood or ceramic figures to add a unique touch to the tree.

Many bonsai tree artists avoid tiny human figures, but you can see figures that represent good luck. For example, small ceramic frogs or Buddha sculptures are often seen with the tree. Look bonsai in new york city for thousands of different figures with bright colors and meanings. Some artists will even put a small ladder propped up against a miniature bonsai fruit tree for humor as well!
