Starfish Food

My husband and I attended an airshow recently and enjoyed the professional pilots flying both old and new planes. It was all pretty much standard fare, however, until several people took off and flew in aircraft which they had built themselves.  That was the first time I realized that there even are homebuilt aircraft and I wondered how safe they were.  My husband explained that the planes are typically built from kits but use airplane engines.  They are inspected by professionals before they are flown, and the pilots usually have been well trained before taking off in them for the first time.
