When I registered for my Ohio CCW classes, I noticed a group of old ladies talking excitedly in one part of the lobby.  Most of them are at least in their fifties or sixties.  When I inquired about them, I was told that they compose a special group enrolled in basic CCW classes. 

Giving due consideration to their particular needs and capabilities, the training facility arranged for classes especially for them.  I think this is an excellent idea.  And I think it is an interesting arrangement.

I did not expect that women of their age would be interested to register for Ohio CCW classes.  I guess societal stereotypes made me think this way.  And I realized that they have as much right as I do to enroll in CCW classes and learn the basics of concealed carry and the use of handguns.  They, too, would want to protect themselves and others when the need arises.
