Many of us watch videos at least a few times a week, even if we do not have a super fast internet connection. All it takes is a fairly fast internet connection and plenty of room on your hard drive. You can even download entire movies instead of renting the DVD if you choose. That option may well make the DVD player as obsolete and the VCR is now.
Today there are so many options that you can virtually watch something new every day and never watch the same thing twice.
When you search for video online, you will find absolutely any kind you want, and any quality you can imagine. Many budding movie directors are practicing with their digital cameras and offer their work for viewing and critiquing online. Remember that guys like Stephen Spielberg got their start that way.
