No Help Desk Asset Tracking Software

My husband is a Jr. Systems Analyst and part of his responsibilities, before that he used to be A Senior Help Desk Analyst.  The company did not have any Help Desk Asset Tracking Software so there were manpower assigned just to answer problems and queries.  There were another team which is where my husband is assigned, they were the ones who dealt with technical side of the problem, they were the ones who corrected the error, etc.  Just imagine if the company had that software, all of the process will be easier and the problems answered much quicker.
